Leave the World Behind (2023) - Part 5 - Psyop

 

I have been slowly diving into the situation taking place in New Jersey with the UAP/ Drone flap that is taking place. Between interesting videos on social media, a familiarity of the area from being stationed up there, and the inept answers being disseminated by the different three letter agencies, it is intriguing. 

But, through what I was reading, there was something that was weighing on me and I couldn’t place it, until I did. Looking at some of my notes from past investigations, it dawned on me that the timing of all this was familiar. Then I realized it was the anniversary of Leave the World Behind, and all of the symbolism and predictive programming it gave us. This flap fits right into that movie, yet adding another strange layer to the story.  

Plot: A family vacation on Long Island is interrupted by two strangers bearing news of a blackout. As the threat grows, both families must decide how best to survive the potential crisis, all while grappling with their own place in this collapsing world.

On Wednesday, New Jersey Republican state Sen. Jon Bramnick called for ‘limited state of emergency’ over mysterious drone sightings that are plaguing New Jersey for the past 6 weeks. I totally get that request, especially as the three letter agencies keep saying, “we have no idea who is doing this, but there is no threat to national security.” I’m sorry, both of those statements cannot be true. If you are clueless on the origin, how do you know the intention? You can’t, unless you are lying about something. 

To me, a military veteran and a researcher, the fact that our own federal government seems remarkably unconcerned to find out the origin of this incursion is very telling. To me, it screams black project or psyop. This is where Leave the World Behind comes into play. 

If you remember, President Obama produced and co-wrote that movie and one of the main themes was the government launching a series of psyops against the American people, which  would ultimately lead to civil war. 

There is a great divide inside the United States right now because of the amount of gaslighting and misinformation being pushed on both sides of the aisle. Mainstream media is dead and one has to sift through volumes of information to get to truths. Too many people blindly believe what they hear and accept things on face value. They are blind to the fact that our elected officials are being controlled by the corporate lobbyists and career government officials that believe they are above our elected officials.  

Between playing both sides on the international front, driving up debt by handing out money like it is water to foreign nations, and fear of major change on the horizon as threats about releasing certain documents near, it would not be a surprise that someone in the so-called Deep State would launch a psyop to save their grasp on power. 

I don’t believe in coincidence and there are too many coincidences found in Leave the World Behind. Hell, it was supposed to be fiction, but like Orwell’s 1984, it is becoming more like a predictive model for society. 

UFO History: December 5, 2014

Having just returned home from a screening of Conclave, I decided it was time to dive into my daily trip into the world of the unexplained and continue some work on my Disclosure Project. So far, I have received good feedback and would love to hear from you with thoughts or ideas for this. 

My idea is to continually share historical sightings and current events surrounding the phenomena when they occur. While there have been a ton of sightings of strange “drones” as they are being labeled, I feel that those are saturating the airwaves. 

So far, I have discovered what I already knew, the United States government has covered this topic up for a long time. The lies in just the State Department and CIA FOIA archives clearly spell that out. 

Now on to today, December 5. The following event was captured by a youtuber by the name of Streetcap1, who constantly monitors the NASA cams from the ISS. 

On December 5, 2014 he caught this red glowing orb directing a beam of light toward the earth. Honestly, the red orb type UFO/UAP is somewhat common near the ISS, the fact that it is directing a beam toward the planet is a touch concerning. 

What may be more concerning is the silence from NASA or the space station astronauts on the subject. If these are, in fact, some type of unknown craft, it would be more than a national security issue, it would be of global concern. But, if they are from human technology, the world population also deserves to know what type of weaponry has this potential. 

I understand that there is a fine line involved, but covering it up or denying it when the evidence comes from internal government systems is something that should raise a flag. At least it does to me.

UFO History: December 4, 2019

For our entry today, I returned back to the UFO Sightings Daily website to find something interesting. 

This account comes from Chicago, Illinois and took place on December 4, 2019. It was originally investigated by MUFON case #104897. 

Witnesses state that around sunrise multiple giant glowing white orbs hovered over Lake Michigan. One eyewitness watched as the objects hovered in place before sliding horizontally and then shooting straight up in a vertical line before vanishing. 

The eyewitness statement: 

Driving on a clear morning, (I) pulled over to view the sunrise over Lake Michigan near my home. Dotted in the sky hovering objects over water, shining brightly, no clouds, commercial jets flying much higher on approach to O'Hare with recognizable red flashing tail and wing lights.Took just a few photos, watched for 5 mins. As (the) objects hovered in place, then shot across the sky horizontally and straight-up at speeds not achievable by modern aviation known to me. I have witnessed other objects over Lake Michigan especially in 2012 during the NATO Summit held in Chicago during President Obama's administration. Over 3-days I witnessed major activity during early morning hours, capturing unbelievable photos that were so disturbing I never reported and only have a few photos to this day. I felt strongly that objects knew I had taken photographic evidence and rarely shared experience.

The report of giant orbs is not uncommon. These UFOs are one of the top 3 most commonly seen. These reports vary but all have similar traits regardless of the size including the fluorescent glow.. 

This type of sighting also appears to be common near water with the amount of sightings leading many to dive into research into underwater activity aka USO activity.

UFO History: December 3, 2024 (Alien Invasion)

I know that yesterday, I changed up the Disclosure Project on UFO Sighting history and it looks like I am going to do it today. At least, a little. I am selecting today, December 3, 2024. Why? Because of the Alien Invasion that was predicted. 

As a person that loves conspiracies and apocalyptic predictions, I did mark this (#alieninvasion) on my calendar. Who wouldn’t? Not sure what I am talking about, well here is a backstory. 

All the way back in 1997, a man named Clif High created a program, Web Bot, to help predict future events by tracking keywords on the internet. It monitors internet chatter, including articles, blogs, forums, and more to help determine what would happen. Originally used for insight on the stock market, the Web Bot predicted something a lot darker in 2009.

Back in 2009, the Web Bot found and tracked information that projected a potential visible confrontation between UFOs fighting other UFOs or jets. But how did he come up with December 3, 2024 as the day that this battle between humans and aliens would start? Well, that is quite funny, actually. 

When discussing this prediction, which was called “39 days to melee,” High stated that there would be a sign or temporal marker” that would kickoff the countdown. And what was that? None other than the interview between Joe Rogan and President-elect Donald Trump. Now think of it, back in 2009, who would have imagined that Rogan and Trump would have been on the world’s largest podcast leading up to an election? In 2009, probably no one. 

But on October 25, not only did Rogan and Trump break the internet, they kicked off a countdown that ended today. 

As I type this here in Hampton Roads, there have been no credible sightings for me to report, but in scanning social media, there have been some today (not more than usual), and I will keep monitoring. Unfortunately, I fear that this Web Bot prediction will fall flat like the Mayan Calendar or other apocalyptic prediction. 

That’s OK though, I will mark myself safe and start preparing for the next extinction event. I’m sure it won’t be long before Yellowstone rumbles again. And who knows, maybe I’ll dive back into Nostradamus or the Simpsons. After all, the Simpsons did predict the Hunter Biden pardon. 

UFO History: December 2, 1987

With the potential UFO Invasion on the horizon on December 3rd according to a prediction made years ago, I decided to do some searching early tonight for our UFO History entry. 

While searching, I did find it interesting that Ed Walters had one of his Gulf Breeze incidents on this day. On that day in 1987, a blue beam of light then caused him to be lifted three feet (0.91 m) off the ground. The Gulf Breeze reports are interesting, but for some reason, I was drawn down an interesting rabbit hole and decided to go that route. 

The CIA FOIA Archives popped up and I started going through some of those and man, they contradict themselves all over. In one appeal from 2006, they claim that there is no research being done by the agency, that they stopped with the Air Force in the 1960s. This is crazy, considering the amount of data that sits in this archive. 

In that document, the redacted information is intriguing. From 1976, what doctor was researching and what exactly is analytical data on the UFO ______ subject and what information was given. This is roughly the same time of the Grenada UFO incidents and there are a ton of documents centered on that in both the CIA and State Department FOIA archives. 

Included in those is a direct link to a United Nations program. As a member of Generation X, how many of us remember hearing that the government has no involvement in the subject. I know I remember that. 

Take a look at the document in the picture, I know it isn’t from December 2nd, but it definitely tells a story that is part of UFO history. 

UFO History: December 1, 1977

For today, December 1st, I decided to go a little different direction with the historical sighting. While there were a bunch, one report on Think AboutIts caught my eye for many reasons.

While this one didn’t have lights, or an airborne craft, this one hits home for many different reasons. Reported by famed Cryptozoologist Loren Coleman, this report has some eerie similarities to a creature that does share some UFO history. 

The report surfaced in Mysterious America and hails from an area near Beason, Illinois. What is strange is no time of day was given, but there was a hospitalization involved. 

A woman on her way to work spotted a tall figure standing on the roadway; it resembled a man with a pair of huge dark wings. The witness reportedly collapsed and had to be hospitalized. No other information was available. 

In fact, a deeper dive into this story yields basically no other information, although it will lead you into accounts of large winged humanoids inside Illinois. 

While this may not be a traditional report, there are many times where a connection between UFO activity and strange creatures can be found. Do you have either type, or both? If so, drop us a line and we will follow up on it.  

UFO History: November 30, 2020

Looking into UFO History for November 30, I found an interesting encounter that took place back in 2020. I got this information from the UFO Sightings Daily blog. 

This sighting took place on the small remote island village of Cali in Colombia, daylight. 

While this location is secluded and close to the jungle, a daylight photo of the craft was received. The eyewitness of this event not only caught a picture, they got a close up of the disk moving over a few huts. 

This is an interesting sighting because of the remoteness of the natives in the area. They would lack the technologies that many other sighting locations boast. While details such as size, visible propulsion, or sound are missing, there was a mention that the craft did land at some point. 

This sighting also creates an interesting question, how often are there sightings in remote areas that lack the technological advantages that most of the modern world have? These locations would be prime observational platforms for otherworldly beings that are here to potentially study humans.

UFO History: November 29, 1989

When deciding what to use for today in UFO history, I stumbled upon one of the most intriguing UFO/UAP flaps in history. While this event started on this day, it lasted for some time. Personally, this is quite fitting considering some of the activity that is being experienced today in 2024. 

The Belgian UAP wave was a series of sightings of triangular UAPs in Belgium, which lasted from 29 November 1989 to April 1990.

The Belgian UAP wave began in November 1989. Reports were filed, most many weeks after the events. Many of the reports related a large object flying at low altitude. Some reports also stated that the craft was of a flat, triangular shape, with lights underneath.

The Belgian UAP wave peaked with the events of the night of March 30th, 1990. On that night, one unknown object was tracked on radar, and two Belgian Air Force F-16s were sent to investigate, with neither pilot reporting seeing the object. No reports were received from the public on the date. But over the next 2 weeks reports from 143 people who claimed to have witnessed the object were received, all of them after the event. Over the ensuing months, many others claimed to have witnessed these events as well. Following the incident, the Belgian Air Force released a report detailing the events of that night.

At around 23:00 on March 30th, 1990, the supervisor for the Control Reporting Center (CRC) at Glons received reports that three unusual lights were seen moving towards Thorembais-Gembloux, which lies to the southeast of Brussels. Glons CRC requested the Wavre gendarmerie send a patrol to confirm the sighting.

Some later reports stated that, approximately 10 minutes later, a second set of lights were seen moving towards the first triangle. Traffic Center Control at Semmerzake tracked one object on its radar, and an order to scramble two F-16 fighters from Beauvechain Air Base was given. In reports after the event, multiple witnesses claimed that the phenomenon was visible from the ground, and described the whole formation as "maintaining their relative positions while moving slowly across the sky".

Over the next hour, the two scrambled F-16s attempted nine separate interceptions of the targets. On three occasions, they managed to obtain a radar lock for a few seconds, but these were later shown to be Radar-locks on each other. The pilots never reported seeing any of the claimed sightings, saw none of the claimed manoeuvres, and never got a lock on any objects apart from the other F-16.The other contacts were all found to be the result of a well-known atmospheric interference called Bragg scattering.

After 00:30, radar contact became much more sporadic and the final confirmed lock took place at 00:40. Following several further unconfirmed contacts, the F-16s eventually returned to base shortly after 01:00.

Members of the Wavre gendarmerie who had been sent to confirm the original report, describe four lights now being arranged in a square formation, all making short jerky movements, before gradually losing their luminosity and disappearing in four separate directions at around 01:30. They also reported that a low engine noise was heard and that it seemed to have a stick coming out one end with a turbine on it, which has led many to conclude the object was a helicopter.

UFO History: November 27, 1976

For our entry for November 27, we discovered an interesting sighting on the UFO Evidence website.

This sighting took place on November 27, 1976 in  Milbank, South Dakota around 1900 Hrs. The account was compiled by field investigator William M. Moore and appeared in the APRO Bulletin, Vol. 25 No. 5 (Nov. 1976)

With temperatures hovering around zero degrees, eyewitness Mike Foss left a local auto body shop in Milbank intending to return home by car. He was travelling south on highway 77 out of Milbank, he suddenly noticed a "tremendously bright, brilliant orange light" - perhaps better described as "a light without a source" -off to the west. 

Foss stopped for a better look. (Note that he did not leave the car, nor did he notice any peculiar effects on the car's electrical system or engine.) At first thinking that he might be witnessing a helicopter he was not immediately apprehensive about it: however, he soon realized that whatever it was he was observing, was clearly not any sort of helicopter he was familiar with. 

Once he returned home, he was outside with his father and realized that whatever he had left behind in that field was now perched a few feet in the air neatly between the hog house and the barn, about 100 feet from where they were standing. For the next twenty to twenty-five minutes, the three Fosses watched as a large, somewhat egg-shaped object, blue at its base, but flashing multicolored lights (mostly red) higher up and having two protruding legs or antennae, as it first hovered between the hog house and the barn, and then drifted (or appeared to drift) slowly straight away from them and off to the southwest, diminishing in size and intensity until it finally disappeared in the distance. 

The changing colored lights on the body of the object were described as being somewhat like a color-wheel used to light up Christmas trees in different colors, except that the colors did not change rapidly, but seemed to "melt" into one another. Orange, white, blue, red, and green were noted.

This strange object returned again on three separate occasions between the initial sighting on November 27, and its most recent appearance at about 8:00 P.M. Saturday evening, December 11th. On two of these occasions, it was sighted only at extreme distances as a bright orange light maneuvering off to the southwest of the house. Because of this distance factor, no positive identification could be made.On the third occasion, the sighting was strikingly similar to the first. Again the object positioned itself between the barn and the hog house, again the weather was clear and cold, and as before, it remained in the area twenty to twenty-five minutes following the same pattern of slowly receding to the southwest. On this occasion, Mike's automatic police radio band scanner was on in the living room. At the appearance of the object, Mike noticed that the scanner had locked on to frequency seven and was emitting bursts of static. Frequency seven is a VHF frequency (approx. 140 MHz) used by the Minnesota Highway Patrol.

This time, Mike Foss called Milbank police and asked that a car be dispatched. Police Chief Ben Amsden personally came out but by the time he arrived, the object was only a bright light in the distance. (Amsden, however, did notice an orange glow in the vicinity of the Foss farm while proceeding toward it in the squad car.) Also reported to have seen the object, this time in the area of the KMSD radio tower about two and one half miles from the Foss house, are Mr. Don Adams, bartender at the local VFW club, and his wife.

UFO History: November 26, 1967

For our dive into the UFO/UAP phenomena for November 26, we found an interesting report on the Think AboutIt website.

This sighting took place on November 26, 1967 in Maple Heights outside of Cleveland, Ohio. This object, described as a glowing white sphere roughly 200 ft in diameter, that was visible for roughly two to three seconds traveling across a residential area toward a valley just south of Cleveland Hopkins Airport. 

From the eyewitness, “Glowing white, round shape as viewed from the ground directly below. Elongated at sides when viewed from end at distance. No other lights other than objects glow. If you took a fifties car full wheel cover and placed it with the flat end toward the ground.and the “domed ” end toward the sky and viewed it from a distance, that would be the shape of the object as it appeared to speed off west. The “dome “was not that pronounced though. It tipped from side to side slightly when it was speeding west.”

This was summarized as a fast moving cylindrical object moving silently at approximately 300-500 feet in altitude.  The sighting took place around 1900 hours. 

While the eyewitness was not identified and admitted to never reporting the incident to official authorities, but, some of his/her background was presented. They have a degree in law enforcement and have served in the police force, fire department, and EMT service. This adds credibility to the sighting.

UFO History: November 25, 1957

November 25, 1957 is an interesting day in UFO history. While there was no definitive evidence produced, there were two separate incidents reported that have some similarities in substance, although they took place in different areas of the world. 

At roughly 2200, multiple soldiers around Eglin Air Force Base in Florida witnessed three objects in the sky. These objects were seen by multiple crew members of a USAF B-66 Destroyer and tracked by ground RADAR before disappearing. 

In 1957, these objects would not be drones and the civilian population would not have been able to have access to objects that could be both visibly seen and tracked on RADAR. 

Incredibly, later in the same evening people in Mogi Mirim, Brazil also encountered three unknown objects passing over their city. While the objects were present, the town saw power to all the lights in their city go out during the incident. 

It is completely possible that these two events are unrelated, but there are similarities as both have three unidentified objects. What do you think, are they related?

Alien Abduction: Travis Walton (2022)

Something strange is harrowing to me.  Ever since going through regression hypnosis I have found myself struggling with motivation.  I almost feel like I'm at some type of crossroads, but indie what that is.  With that,  I have found some time for some movies and relaxation. Unfortunately,  most new horror is so cookie cutter,  so once in a while I did into some documentaries,  like this one Alien Abduction: Travis Walton.

Plot: In 1975, six men in Arizona witnessed their crewmate's abduction by UFO. The Travis Walton story became an international sensation and ripped apart a small town. Four decades later, shocking new evidence reveals the true story behind Fire in the Sky.

From the first time I heard this story,  I have Brynn fascinated.  Not to mention,  Fire in the Sky was a tremendous movie and extremely eye opening.  This documentary was more of the same.  A combibation of reenactments, interviews, and details, this explore the reality of this events through the eyes of this involved and demonstrates how much society has changed in the years since the abduction in 1975. The quality of the filmmaking was top notch providing the details in a way that wasn't boring keeping a solid flow throughout.  One downfall was not the fault of the filmmakers, but that of the streaming service,  who didn't sync their commercials with the intended breaks, something that is becoming more and more common in streaming. The interviews were intense and believable, and some of the details pointed out in the physical evidence was extremely interesting.  Most of all,  it was fact based and believable. While some may still not believe in aliens and adductions, there is no doubt that something nefarious happened that day and it wasn't a hoax. If you are into alien abduction cases and haven't seen this,  even if you are familiar with the story,  give this one a shot. 

TMZ Presents: UFOs The Pentagon Proof (2021)

Next week at this time,  I'll be prepping for my UFO event with Enigma Labs at the ocean front. I'm stoked.  Ever since my first sighting in the 70s as I child,  I have known that UFOs exist.  While I have no idea what they are and have changed opinions over time,  I know they exist.  A fact that I am excited to see take on a mainstream life ìn this crazy 2023. Hopefully,  more information confines to trickle out.  Being in that mood,  I decided to watch TMZs show, TMZ Tresents: UFOs The Pentagon Proof (2021).

Plot: Analyzing the U.S. government's official response to UFO conversations from an investigative standpoint; interviews with key players; new footage of UFOs from the deck of a USS naval ship.

I am not a huge fan of TMZ, but I will admit that they do a great job at providing some solid information and in their investigation shows,  they make it worth watching.  This one is the same,  detailing the available information on this polarizing topic.  From 2021, this documentary dives into the Pentagon and the half-assed way they documented these important sightings as well as the way they worked to cover it up.  With some of the interviews, they pointed out facts that are easily verifiable to any one that wants to dive info these reports for themselves.  Shot with a myriad of interviews, they talk with both witnesses, experts,  and government representatives that all point out different information on the topic.  Thus,  giving different perspectives.  What I really appriciated was the fact that they covered the topic without an agenda, and allowed the different people they were talking to present their story without an agenda. The different members of TMZ asked pointed but not leading questions,  allowing them to answer open and honestly.  In the end,  this was both informative and entertaining. If you haven't watched it,  check it out. 

UFO: The Truth About Flying Saucers (1956)

This weather here in Virginia Beach has been miserable with it feeling more like I live in Florida than Virginia. But,  even with the weather,  it has not been a terrible week. I did get to see both The Empire Strikes Back and Asteroid City at the NARO and catch some other movie.  Something weird did happen on my last selection though,  I chose a 2018 movie called UFO and what strange was a 1956 documentary/movie called UFO: The Truth About Flying Saucers.

Plot: Interviews and documentary footage combine with the fictional story of an air-force pilot who encounters aliens.

Considering the age of this docudrama, this is an amazingly informative movie. Using actual Military documents and footage with a somewhat fictional story to help navigate the material was a great way to put forth the matter-of-fact approach to the material is refreshing.  This is especially true when comparing it to the documentaries that have overtaken every streaming service on the subject matter. As a researcher, it is really interesting that there are still many similarities between the different decades when it comes to the subject matter. In fact, in many ways, it may be a more accurate capsule of the UFO topic. Yes, is does move slowly and doesnt have the flair of the modern UFO documentary, but it is likely more realistic acting as a real news piece unlike the feeling and interpretation driven approach that litters every  documentary today. This one definitely presented the material and presented the material in a way that allows the viewer to make their own decision on what they believe instead of attempting to steer a narrative. This may not be for everyone, but any serious UFO buff should love it. I did and totally recommend it.

Kecksburg: The Untold Story (2004)

While the news (or hoax) coming out of Las Vegas has been interesting, the recent event that struck a cord with me was the recent meeting of intelligence officials at Wright Patterson airfield in Ohio. This facility has always been interesting to UFO enthusiast and this meeting stirred up even more interested.  For me,  it reminded me of a scene from the documentary Kecksburg: The Untold Story. Growing up near Kecksburg, this story had always fascinated me and this documentary is a great resource for researchers. 

Plot: Many people believe the government is not telling the truth about it's involvement in the retrieval of a crashed UFO in Kecksburg, Pennsylvania in 1965. Was there an object that fell from the sky? Was it man made, or a visitor from another world?

This lower budgeted documentary by researcher Stan Gordon is full of great information coming from eyewitness testimony, reenactments, and of course, research. To the people of Kecksburg, something definitely landed in the woods of Meteor Road (an ironic name), and the government swooped in and shipped up all the debris.  The orange acorn shaped craft (it does look similar to the Nazi Bell) has become the towns calling card,  and it should be.  With the Boehner silence,  no one knows what took place,  but it's clear something did. This documentary does lack the flair and expensive looking quality of many documentaries,  but it packs a punch.  This one is clearly for the viewer that is interested in the story and the facts as portrayed by the witnesses and not for those who are looking for some blockbuster production. If you are like me and are there for the research value,  check it out.

Significant Other (2022)

It looks like the forecasted rains are finally about to set in,  which will definitely make for a wet holiday period. At least,  I have a ton of things to watch and the home toy business to run. After cutting the backyard today, I settled in and decided on the 2022 entry Significant Other on Paramount+.

Plot: While on a remote backpacking trip through the Pacific Northwest, a young couple sense they may not be alone. As things take a dark turn, they find there is no one to trust -- not even each other.

I went into this movie blind, not knowing anything about it and I am glad I did. Yes, this film is definitely different from the common horror flims being pushed out and that is a good thing. For those looking for the typical tropes and jump scares, this one isn't for you.  But, even without a high body count, this one packs a punch featuring a tremendous atmosphere, anawesome soundtrack, and enough suspense to keep you engaged (it even had an unexpected twist). Sure the storyline is a bit compact and and things sem to spiral rapidly, but with a reletively short runtime, it is an easy any interesting journey. In the end, this one will definitely not be for every one, but is you love atmospheric and tension filled horror, this one is for you.

Destination Inner Space (1966)

I was pretty excited last night as I stood one of the Ringmaster's Originals, the line of prints I created to salvage old comic book art from randomly destroyed vintage comics.  To me, preserving this art is important and something that isn't that hard to accomplish. While debating with myself about what piece should be next,  I kicked back with a classic creature feature from the 1960s, Destination Inner Space. 

Plot: A group of scientists working in a deep-sea research station discovers a strange craft of extraterrestrial origin.

Let me start by saying that if you don't enjoy classic B-grade creature feature schlock, this one isn't for you.  If you do,  then you should get a kick out of this one.  Yes,  it has low-grade effects,  probably a lower budget,  and some (I'm sure) unintentional laughs,  but those things add to the campy feel of the entire film.   And, of course, that is all before I get to the overstuffed Sci-Fi bass that stands as one of the more unique aliens from that era of film.  In the end,  if you want to suspend belief and drift into a bygone era of fun mindless creature features, this one is definitely for you.  This has all the campy elements and much more.  

The Thing from Another World! (1951)

While the pickings were slim this weekend in the great vintage toy quest that I am working on and the weather was mostly miserable, I decided that I would spend some time catching up on many of the films I have watched in the past few months and have not reviewed. To get back in the swing of things, I decided that the 1951 classic The Thing from Another World would be my next film for review.

Plot/ Scientists at an Arctic research station discover a spacecraft buried in the ice. Upon closer examination, they discover the frozen pilot. All hell breaks loose when they take him back to their station and he is accidentally thawed out!

This must be one of the best Sci-Fi films of the 1950s and a movie that I believe every fan of science fiction must see. In many ways, this film laid the foundation for everything we see in the genre today and as one would expect, it holds up quite well after all these years. Produced (and likely directed) by Howard Hawks, this film starts slow but rises beyond expectations featuring solid performances, an outstanding script with near perfect dialog, and a heavy atmosphere that does a great job at painting a picture of isolation.  Sure, the monster isn’t seen near enough and there is somewhat of a documentary feel, but those are easily overlooked in films entire body of work. In the end, if you have not seen this one, you are missing out. Find it and give it a shot, I highly recommend it.

Invaders from Mars (1953)

I know, I know, I haven’t done one of these in what seems like forever (which is true). But, now, after having my batteries recharged, it is time to get back into the swing of things and start coming back into the blogosphere. Fortunately, I haven’t totally ignored my love of horror and Sci-Fi cinema over this absence, and now I have an extremely wide variety of films to choose from as I bring The Ringmaster’s Realm back to life. First up is a classic Sci-Fi tale, the 1953 entry Invaders from Mars.

Plot/ A young boy learns that space aliens are taking over the minds of earthlings.

Being one that had never experienced the original Invaders from Mars, I somewhat expected something close to the horrendous remake from my teens. Fortunately, what I found was something much better and entertaining. The atmosphere is perfect, the storytelling does a great job at capturing your attention form a child’s perspective, and the overarching theme of anti-Communism rings throughout in a way that plants the seed in your mind and conjures fears that today, many couldn’t fathom. Yes, there are some issues caused by the lower budget, but those are easy to overlook. The effects may not be great, the acting somewhat stiff, and there are quite a few holes that are hard to ignore, but overall, it is much better than it probably should have been. In the end, this movie is much more than the schlock classic that it is often referred to as. This is a well thought out and executed Sci-Fi flick from an era where the subtle meanings mattered more than the quality. If you have not seen it, find it and watch it. It runs circles around the sequel and is a must see for Sci-Fi fans.

Unacknowledged (2017)

After taking the night off to watch a competitive softball game last night, I decided that I wanted to watch something different. It has been some time since I ventured into a documentary and this one seemed perfect for my mood. This documentary is the 2017 entry Unacknowledged.

Plot/ Unacknowledged focuses on the historic files of the Disclosure Project and how UFO secrecy has been ruthlessly enforced, and why. The best evidence for extraterrestrial contact, dating back decades, is presented with direct top-secret witness testimony, documents and UFO footage, 80% of which has never been revealed anywhere else.

If you have read my works on here that deal with the UFO phenomena, you already know that I feel that the government has been lying to the populace for decades about the alien presence that exists here on Earth right now. This documentary does a great job at presenting a combination of evidence and witnesses, as well as outlining the level of secrecy that is maintained on the subject. For me, that area resonated and can be tied directly to the news if you truly pay attention. The government knows more than they will ever say, because they allow billions of dollars to disappear every year right in front of us, and they never touch on it. No matter what party affiliation you are, think back to the news about the missing State Department money that was brought up during the election and then look back at the other times you heard this. Black Ops (including the study of aliens/UFOs) eats that money.

This documentary is well made with a nice mixture of pictorial and video evidence and interviews, the theories presented connecting it to our atomic, or nuclear testing facilities are interesting, the material is set in a logical manner that creates a compelling and coherent storyline, and the depth and variety of the witness creates an argument that can be used against the many skeptics that have digested all of the Kool-Aid. Yes, there are some issues with the editing that make some of the material hard to make out and some of the witnesses are hard to research on your own, but those issues are minor. In the end, this is a great documentary that helps expose the elites, mainstream media, and government officials that continue to run Psychological Warfare Initiatives against the people and spread lies on the subject. Much like the deceptions of 9-11, other government-backed operations, and the disinformation that is all around us, the alien/UFO phenomenon has become another piece of history that has been developed to divide the country. Stand up and say enough already and become a champion for disclosure. Unacknowledged is an entertaining documentary and a movie for both believers and skeptics. Watch this one, it needs to be seen.
