Patriots Day (2016)

After a long day with an open house at the institute followed by an extremely hard nap, I decided to kick back and watch a film that I had heard mixed things about. That movie is the 2016 account of the Boston Marathon Bombing Patriots Day.

Plot/ The story of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing and the aftermath, which includes the city-wide manhunt to find the terrorists responsible.

This is a movie that I had stayed away from for a while but decided to hive it a shot. While I do agree there are some moments where it feels like there is some propaganda added in the dialog, it was somewhat easy to look past and focus on the movie. One of the biggest positives that I can point out is the way the film takes on an event that is still rather fresh in a viewers mind and creates something that is both entertaining and tense. There are solid performances, the pacing is strong, and the cinematography captures as authentic feel. Yes, as I mentioned earlier there were a few moments where the dialog was agenda driven (the subtle 911 was an inside job reference was an interesting choice) and there are some holes between the opening sequences and the ending, but those are rather easy to overlook when a viewer thinks of the scope of a project such as this and the actual way the  events transpired. In the end, this one was much better that I expected and a movie that is both entertaining and interesting. Check it out.

Zeitgeist (2007)

After being somewhat disappointed in Conspiracy of Lies, I needed something to quench my craving for an interesting documentary. After some thought, I decided to revisit one of my favorites (plus informative): 2007s conspiracy themed documentary Zeitgeist.

Plot/ This film gathers information from many sources and puts it together in a way that shows it is possible for people to be manipulated by large institutions, governments and economic powers.

After watching Conspiracy of Lies, I could not shake the need for a solid documentary. That is exactly what this movie is. Zeitgeist is one of the most thought provoking and entertaining documentaries, I have seen, and it does a great job at tying what many see as unrelated topics into a coherent conspiracy driven documentary. There is a lot to like in this one, with solid production values, strong research, and enough material to make the viewer want to dive in and research it one their own. As a fan of conspiracies, I have dug into some if these elements and have come out with some similar beliefs. The 911 section is extremely eye opening and is a section that everyone should watch with an open mind, as there are a tremendous amount of flaws in the official investigation report and there are still major unanswered questions about the attack that opened the door for the 1984 style police state that we now live in. On the downside, there are some moments where the pacing seems a touch off. Plus, there is so much information brought out in this documentary that it is hard to wrap your head around it if you aren’t a semi-informed viewer. For me, I loved it, but it could turn some viewers off. In the end, this movie does a great job of presenting information and challenging the viewer to become more informed about the topics. While some may blow it off as just another set of conspiracies, if you are awake, you know how real the deception is and how important it is for us to get involved and help expose the truth. As President Reagan said, “Ask Questions and Demand Answers!” Check this movie out; it is well worth watching for anyone.

A Conspiracy of Lies: Flight 370 to 911 (2014)

I decided to take a couple more days away from the blog as I continued to try to rid myself of this nagging cold. Fortunately, it seems to be working, as I am finally starting to feel normal. I did watch a few movies though, including the 2014 documentary Conspiracy of Lies: Flight 370 to 911.

Plot/ We have now discovered the NSA can and does spy on every American citizen and we only need the national media to see that many of the New World Order plans are already in place.

I live conspiracy theories and watching documentaries on any and all conspiracies. However, I do not just subscribe to all of the different theories that exist. Of course, I also enjoy when these documentaries are coherent. Even if they are low budget, they can present fact (or theories) in a way that is informative. Unfortunately, this movie is all over the place and never truly presents anything new that is groundbreaking (although, I did like the Ebola portion). In all, there are excessively many topics in this documentary including Flight 370, 911 (Building 7), MK-Ultra, JFK, Roswell, Ebola, and even Reptilians. While all of those subjects can be interesting topics, combining them into one video could never do them justice. In the end, while the narration does make do a decent job laying out the theories, there really is no new evidence to back up the claims that are being portrayed in this documentary and it definitely hurts the overall feel of the film. While it did help pass some time in an evening, it did not leave a lasting impression. Be warned.

The Conspiracy (2012)

To all my avid readers, I want to apologize for my brief hiatus. Between starting college again, car troubles and an extremely busy schedule, I needed some time away from the computer. Now, I am back, refreshed and ready to roll. Now with the weekend upon us, it was time to get back at it. Next flick up for review, The Conspiracy from 2012. 

Plot/ A documentary about conspiracy theories takes a horrific turn after the filmmakers uncover an ancient and dangerous secret society.

I went into this with zero expectations. I had never heard of it and was interested in seeing it as soon as I read the synopsis. What I found was better than I would have expected from the budget. The storyline is believable (especially to a devout tin foil hat wearer), the acting works, and more importantly this could be based on a true story. Yes, some of the pacing is off early on and some uneven atmosphere, but when everything picks up, it ties everything together. In the end, this thriller is one of the better ones I have seen in some time and one that is extremely effective and thought provoking. If like me, you are a conspiracy theorist, check this one out, you shouldn’t be disappointed. Hell, even if you shy away from conspiracies, give it a go, you too should find it entertaining.

9/11: The Great Illusion (2004)

I decided to stay in the documentary zone tonight as I had a lot of work to complete. To me, nothing keeps me focused more than a solid documentary, especially when it is an interesting topic. My selection for the evening was 9/11: The Great Illusion.

Plot/ This important film will help open your friends' and family's eyes to the great illusion that the mainstream media has created around the September 11th attacks.

Let me start by stating that this has a lot of solid information on this tragedy, and is rather thorough in its approach. That being said, this one came across a bit stale as a movie but a perfect narration for me to drive to. Having two hours of window time every day, this was perfect for my drive, as the video was mostly stills backing up the solid narration. Released in 2004, this documentary compiled a tremendous amount of data, creating a solid trail to be followed to the globalist scum that were responsible. Of course, there were some stretches as well that helped (along with the vast majority of still pictures) create an amateurish feel. In the end, if you can download the audio and listen to it on a drive it will be interesting. If you want to watch a 9/11 flick, watch Loose Change instead.  

Martial Law 9-11: Rise of the Police State (2005)

After a few horror flicks this week, I decided to head back into documentary mode. This is something I found fitting with the unconstitutional display that our congress is parading with their assault on the Second Amendment. To get my mind off that sign of tyranny, I decided to look at one of the events that started us on this path of despair, Martial Law 9/11: Rise of the Police State from 2005.

Plot/ Out of the ashes of the September 11th tragedy, a dark empire of war and tyranny has risen. The Constitution has been shredded and America is now a Police State. This film exposes not just who was behind the 9-11 attacks, but the roots and history of its orchestrators. 

It is amazing, when you step back and look at certain documentaries after some time, a prophetic theme at times shines through. This is specifically the case with this one. Yes, at the heart is the Republican Convention in 2004, the protests, and the pathetic ways that those traitors to the Constitution took advantage of the terrorist narrative to steal the election. Throughout this documentary, the dark sides of the 9-11 attacks were brought forth, as well as details on the globalists that sit behind those travesties and their circumvention of the Constitution that continues today by creating a true totalitarian Police State. Think about it, everyone thought that the Patriot Act was an infringement of our rights, yet, NDAA and other bills make that look like preschool literature. Yes, at three plus hours, it may be long for some people, but there is a ton of information that must be seen, especially with the evidentiary documents that are presented. This is a solid documentary and one that will open your eyes, check it out!  

Loose Change 9/11: An American Coup (2009)

 

 

It is amazing to me that every time you turn around; new evidence is being discovered about the tragic truth of the incident on 9/11 that changed the face of the United States. Today, I saw information of FOIA documents about certain ACARS messages demonstrated that the aircraft received messages through ground stations located in Harrisburg, PA, and then later routed through a ground station in Pittsburgh; 20 minutes after the aircraft allegedly impacted the South Tower in New York. This is yet, one more item to prove that this was not the terrorist attack everyone has believed; it was an inside job. With my mind caught up in this attack, I decided to watch Loose Change 9/11: An American Coup.

 

 

Plot/ An exploration of the viewpoint that the September 11, 2001 attacks were planned by the United States government.

 

 

I have to admit that this film does a great job at debunking the official government story of the attacks on September 11. It does this by first looking square at history, and the similar events that helped shape our nation, and how the government often plays are larger and darker role in events. It also touches on one important facet that often goes overlooked, compartmentalization and need-to-know operations. No matter how you feel about the events of that day, there are serious questions that lack solid evidence and this film touches on that. To me, the disasters at the Pentagon for one and the uniform collapse of the WTC buildings have been problematic, as the official story did not seem to match the visual data. The findings of physicist Steven Jones - PhD, who talked about the evidence of Nano Thermite in the debris was very pointed, and it is unbelievable that the official investigation ignored the possibility. To me, that is almost Warren Commission negligence. In the end, many will not believe this and even view it in proper context, as they could never believe that the government could or would do this. To them, I say that history begs to differ. If you, like me, want to know the truth, do not just watch this, ask questions and demand answers.

 

911: In Plane Site (2004)

 

 

Last night after a couple movies, I decided to start work on my ongoing series concerning HAARP and the United States Government. If you have read my articles, you will already know that I completed my look at the current administration under President Obama. My next step was the previous administration of President Bush. Unfortunately, no look at the Bush Administration cannot be complete without a look at the tragedy of September 11. Like many, I can remember exactly where I was that day. I was still in the US Navy, and I was leaving my port visit in Limassol, Cypress when the story broke and the life was sucked out of our ship. Over the years, I have watched a lot of documentaries on the tragic attacks. My views of the government and the presidents have changed, especially now that I have retired from the military and am not surrounded by the fog that accompanies that. My first venture into the Bush Administration is in the movie 911: In Plane Site.

 

 

 Plot/ 911: In Plane Site: Director’s Cut is a 2004 documentary which explains a number of 9/11 conspiracy theories. Photographs and video footage from the September 11 attacks are presented as evidence that the public was not given all of the facts surrounding the "worst terrorist attack in U.S. history".

 

 

Over the years, my view on the reason behind this tragedy has changed multiple times, and unfortunately, I believe it is another occurrence of the government hiding something. Looking back today, there were a lot of companies and people who benefitted from this event. To me, that is appalling. Having watched a few of these documentaries over time, I see a lot of material that is rehashed, and this documentary is no different. Although, I do believe it does a good job, especially early in talking about the Pentagon. To me, that attack of the day has always been the least credible part of the attacks, as there should be a lot more damage, physical or video evidence. Ironically it asks some of the basic questions, which like today with the latest 9-11 tragedy in Benghazi, the media fails to ask. It also presents some points that (again) that some people often overlook, like, President Bush telling school children that he saw the first plane crash into the tower on TV. Why would he make that up when there was no video of that crash on TV at the time? How is Larry Silverstein's "pull it" quote from "America Rebuilds" concerning WTC7 not even mentioned in the 911 Commission report?

 

 

Yes, there are some quality issues with the way that this one is put together, there are some head scratching moments that can lead you to dismiss it, and there is too much focus on the pod theory, but it still presents some interesting material. In the end, this out of the ordinary look at this tragedy does pose a different viewpoint. While I know many will discount a film like this as just conspiracy theory propaganda, to them, I ask the question is it impossible? This was one of the worst days in the history of the United States, and to me, truths must be told. History has proven that truths are not found by just blindly listening to the reports that the government creates, truths are found by challenging data and asking hard questions. Ironically, those are both items that our mainstream media (especially today) refuses to do, instead, they tote the company line and perpetuate cover-ups on a daily basis. Watch this for no other reason than keeping those questions alive, so that someday, the truth will be discovered.
