American Horror Story - Episode 2 - Home Invasion

Last night I decided to sit back and chill while I enjoyed the latest episode of what is quickly becoming my second favorite television show (behind Castle). That show is the new FX Channel Psychodrama, American Horror Story, with Episode 2, Home Invasion.

Plot/ Vivien and Violet find themselves in a dangerous situation eerily similar to a past event while being terrorized by a trio of serial-killer-obsessed tweakers. Ben goes back to Boston to fix a mistake.

Everything seemed to settle down a bit in this episode in comparison to the whirlwind surreal pilot. While the sound cinematography remained, there was a lot more substance, cool music, characterization and weirdness thrown into the storyline. The idea of a home invasion attempting to replicate the murders was awesome, and truly added something early on in the series. The acting was again solid, and the characters continued to grow. Yes, more questions arose than were answered, but that is fine (especially at this stage. To me, this has been a breath of fresh air for television and I truly hope that the creepy frightening storytelling continues as it did in this episode, one that hopefully marks the true beginning of weirdness in the show.
