Bigfoot County (2012)

After watching the Bohemian Grove documentary Reprise: The Order of Death, I decided to find something mindless to watch. Unfortunately, it has been a long day, as the daughters have been singing and dancing a lot. While that is fine, and they are talented, one can only handle so much Glee! No, I am not a gleek, and would ban the show in the house, but, I am out voted four to one. My selection for the evening was the found footage flick Bigfoot County from 2012.

Plot/ Siskiyou County, California has the most reported Bigfoot sightings in the world. In August of 2009, a documentary filmmaker went to investigate these alleged sightings.

I am honestly starting to feel like the found footage movement in film has to stop. This latest entry on the subject of Bigfoot is a perfect example of why. More an autopsy of what not to do in the field than honest attempt at even faking the idea of creating something somewhat believable, this one suffers from a lot of flaws. The characters are stereotypical and flat, dialogue is horrid and storyline full of cliché. Yes, there are some dent scenes and some of it is not terrible, but that is nowhere near enough to save this one from itself. In the end, there are much better found footage Bigfoot flicks out there, push this to the bottom of the barrel.
