Bloody Bloody Bible Camp (2012)

Last night was a serious evening with Loose Change taking center stage in the viewing queue. While I love documentaries, and the powerful storylines they portray, there are times when you need something lighthearted and mindless. For my viewing pleasure tonight, I decided on Bloody Bloody Bible Camp from 2012.

Plot/ Years after Sister Mary Chopper makes seven youthful sinners pay a penance for their sinful acts, Christian wannabes return to the Happy Day Bible Camp for round two.

The 1980s were such a great decade for horror with the rise of the slasher, the improved special effects and the simple pleasures of teenagers at camp. This low budget indie flick definitely takes all of those facets, and pays homage to this great decade. This one has everything you could need for an entertaining evening. There is Reggie Bannister singing, naked chicks, gore and an interesting story line that is scripted perfectly with just enough schlock and comedy. Hell, it even has Ron Jeremy playing Jesus, and an original killer; what more could you want. Sure, it is a cheesefest and it does have some issues, but that is fine for this B Grade entry.  If you love campy 1980s horror and all it has to offer, check this one out!
